Armed Homeowner Stops Repeat Burglar – By Shooting Him

He only got shot in the arm, so he will be standing trial. UPDATED: Garrard homeowner shoots burglary suspect – centralkynews.com.

David Baker and his wife were just returning home after a vacation in Louisiana. When Baker pulled into his driveway, he noticed a sport utility vehicle parked with the engine running.

Wren said Baker thought to himself “I don’t know that vehicle” and told his wife to stay in the vehicle and lock the doors.

After retrieving a shotgun from the couple’s shed, Baker entered the house through a basement door that had been kicked in and called out a warning to anyone not permitted in his house.

The guy dropped the intended loot when he realized the homeowner was armed. But instead of beating a retreat, he went back and threatened the homeowner.

Baker was unsure if anyone else was in the house at the time and when the suspect did not stop moving toward him, Baker shot him in the arm.

Evidence connects the bad-guy to several burglaries that were committed in the area.

Self-defense is a human-right. This guy could have saved himself a world of hurt if he had just left the guy with the shotgun alone.
