I Didn’t Think a Jury from Boston Would Go for the Death Penalty

JusticeAnd predictably people (by which I mean journalists) are shocked that they did. Boston Marathon bomber sentenced to death.

Not so much in USA Today, but the Chicago Trib had a predictable “killing people who kill people …” cartoon and editorial. (They don’t get a link.)

A jury of seven women and five men sentenced Boston Marathon bomber Dzhokhar Tsarnaev to death by execution, closing one of the most painful chapters in this city’s history.

But of course it isn’t “closed.” The appeals start now.
