Joe Jackson

More post-punk. (With a big-band-era cover thrown in for good measure)

“Memphis” is from the soundtrack of a 1984 movie, entitled Mike’s Murder.

Joe Jackson did a cover of big-band-era in the early 1980s – about 15 years before the likes of The Brian Setzer Orchestra.

“Is You Is Or Is You Ain’t My Baby?” from the 1981 album Jumpin’ Jive.

“Steppin’ Out” from the 1982 album Night and Day. Probably the most recognizable song from Joe Jackson.

  1. He was good, I really liked his stuff – but then I didn’t hear it much…and it was probably me retreating from radio-world and the whole music scene.
