  1. I think the world needs to come up with another form of personal identification so that SSNs names etc basically becomes useless. And what’s really scary is that all healthcare systems have encryption algorithms that are very sophisticated, I’ve worked in this area a little. With basically everyone having all of our personal info, we have to make it useless or these hacks will continue. Gotta go freeze my credit now.

  2. Actually in one case the insurance data – which included SSNs – was NOT encrypted. (That is a violation of privacy law.)

    Credit freezes are a good idea. And free in some states.
