Sheriff Troy Nehls Has a Message for Would-be Bad Guys

If I lived in his county, he would get my vote. Homeowner fatally shoots robbery suspect at home in Fort Bend County | File this under “A breakdown of the victim-selection process.”

The sheriff’s message to the bad-guys:

“Don’t come into Fort Bend County and start waving guns around because you could leave in a bag,” Nehls said.

This was in relation to an attempted robbery. A guy pulls into his driveway and is accosted by a miscreant demanding his money.

Instead, the homeowner grabbed a gun from his vehicle and shot the man two times. A photograph taken just moments after shows the homeowner–with his gun in hand–standing steps away from the man’s lifeless body in his front yard. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

In Texas, if you rob people, you will eventually try to rob someone who is armed. Might not work out too well for you.
