Texans are still armed; home-invaders still getting shot

Texans are heavily armed and they aren’t shy about shooting bad guys. Two West Side residents turn tables on home invaders in separate incidents – San Antonio Express-News

The first guy was banging on windows before he broke in through the front door. He was met by a homeowner with .22 caliber rifle. The homeowner started shooting.

Neighbors began calling police. When they arrived, they found a suspect with two gunshot wounds to the chest and an injury to the arm.

The suspect, who police said was in his 30s, was taken to University Hospital and was listed in stable condition with non-life-threatening injuries, police said.

The 2nd incident involved 2 armed guys breaking into a house. Both were armed, one of them had 2 guns. The homeowner managed to get one of the guns away from the bad guys. All 3 were shot. One of the bad guys is in critical condition, the homeowner and the other guy are in stable condition.

The invaders “were very serious in their assault,” Smith said. “Most people would consider this a home invasion. We would consider it as a burglary with intent … to harm.”

All 3 bad guys will face charges when they get out of hospital. The homeowners were defending themselves.

(OK, so the 2nd incident is not about an armed homeowner. Still, you have to give the guy props for the can do attitude.

Self-defense is a human-right.
