Since it didn’t happen, it hasn’t really been plastered all over the 24-hour news cycle. Dennis Intermediate students back in class after attempted school shooting.
The boy’s mother called 911. The cops listened. The school went on lockdown. Cops pursued the individual into the school, and traded gunfire with the kid. He took his own life. He was the only person who was shot.
Compare all of that with Parkland, where many people knew the kid was a problem, the school went out of their way to both ignore him, and ignore the warnings, and the cops did next-to-nothing on the day in question.
So of course, the story with the mostly-happy ending is all but ignored by the 24 hour news services.
