If you break into homes…

You will eventually find an armed homeowner. No one will be surprised at the result. One shot in home invasion.

After the initial investigation, it appears the armed homeowner confronted two adult male suspects at his residence. As a result of this confrontation, one male suspect shot. He was transported from the scene to Genesis Hospital with a single gunshot wound.

2 people are in custody, a man and a woman. It doesn’t say if the other “male suspect” is still in the hospital, or if police are still searching for someone. My instinct is to say, “Good Guys 3…” But I really can’t back that up with the story linked above.

Self-defense is a human-right.

    • No one keeps very good statistics on the justified use-of-force by folks who are not police. I have seen some of the stats relative to police, but not from a source I trust.

Lethal vs non-lethal has as much to do with how close you are to a Class A trauma center than anything else. One of the things that reduced “gun deaths” in Chicago, as opposed to reducing shootings, is that they reopened a Trauma center on the South Side. That reduced the ambulance ride for about half the city, which upped the odds of survival. (If you make it to a Trauma Center with a beating heart you have a very high chance of survival.)
