How Would You Respond to Being Attacked in Your Own Kitchen?

He should have taken the hint from the stick. Washington homeowner attempts to fight off burglar with stick, then shoots him in chest, police say.

Detectives told Q13 News the homeowner did his best to fend off the burglary suspect in his kitchen using a piece of wood. When that did not stop the suspect, the man grabbed a weapon and fired a single shot, hitting the intruder in the chest.

The would be bad guy will be charged when he gets out of the hospital.

“The homeowner knew that he did the right thing, and the only thing he could do to protect himself and his wife,” Lt. Tim Rudloff told Q13 News.

Self-defense is a human-right.

  1. I guess the “stick” is a fair first stop. I have a baseball bat leaning against the fireplace in the family room. (Too much dust and ash from the fireplace in the winter to leave a shotgun sitting out.)
