Well, he didn’t come out shooting. He came out yelling, and two of the would-be car thieves came at him, one of whom was armed with a knife. But why clutter the issue with facts?

He was a lovable child.

Of course he was. And the outing with his cousins to commit felonies in Lake County was just a family get together, like Sunday dinner. I’m sure they are all lovable. At least by their mothers. But when they attack a stranger with a knife, not so much.
