Denial – It ain’t just a river in Egypt

I get that he was family, and they loved him. But that doesn’t change the facts. ‘He Was a Good Kid’: Carjacking Suspect’s Family Heartbroken After He Was Shot Dead By Police.

The family position:

“You can’t imagine what goes through your mind, what led up to this and why and how,” said Murray’s aunt Cheryl Gordon. “If you knew Tommy, you knew he was a good kid, nice person, he had a big heart, it’s just devastating you know.”

The police supposition:

Investigators say Murray was a suspect in at least three carjackings over the weekend, including one involving an elderly woman in Lowell, another involving a 5-year-old child in North Andover, and then the armed theft of a BMW X5 from the Tulley BMW dealership in Nashua.

The last one was what got him killed. The dealer was able to track the location of the vehicle, and police surrounded it.

Massachusetts State Police and Newbury police boxed Murray’s vehicle in, shooting and killing him, as he allegedly tried to ram his vehicle into their cruisers.

I don’t know how you feel about it, but that doesn’t sound like “a good kid” to me.
