How Should a Woman Defend Herself?

This guy was breaking into her home at 2:15 in the morning on Sunday. What should she do? What should she do after they “defund” the police? Man shot by homeowner after attempting to break in.

Police say the suspect, a 30-year-old man, was shot by a home owner after attempting to force his way into her home, by breaking her front living room window and the glass of the front door.

Cops took him to the hospital, and then to jail.

In the absence of police, after the Left has disbanded them, should she just shoot until he’s dead, and then dispose of the body? That doesn’t sound right to me. So in the absence of firearms, what should she do? Just revel in her impending victim-status? I would love to hear what the Left has to say on either issue. (Other than the ad hominem attacks I usually get, that is.)

  1. How much shooting is necessary to eliminate the threat? No reduce it, not pacify it, but eliminate it by incapacitating the aggressor sufficiently to no longer pose a threat.

If one shot does it, then one shot it is – and it’s possible that the credible threat* of administering incapacitation may be sufficient in many cases, producing a zero-shot event – but if it requires all 17 rounds in the magazine plus a reload, so be it.

*Above and beyond “credible threat” is the question of “if the aggressor lives will he do it again?” Unless there’s reasonable evidence that “doing it again” means “to you” that part of the equation, however valid, cannot be considered.
