Melissa Etheridge is one of my favorite artists, or at least she used to be. I have to admit I haven’t listened to much of her music in the past few years. It isn’t I don’t like her music, I’ve just been so caught up in all the European and experimental music I now have access to. I suppose that should change.

Anyway, “Like The Way I Do” is still one of her best songs. It was released as the 2nd single from her eponymous debut album in 1988. 32 years ago? I feel so old…

I know I keep trying to limit myself to one Musical Interlude per week, but I just can’t get this song out of my head today. Not that that is a bad thing.

I would say seeing that Breakdown is from 99 makes me feel old, but since Melissa Etheridge is younger than I am, I guess I am old.
