Mean Monday

This doesn’t fit in with “Metal for Monday,” but can I really schedule this song on Wednesday? I don’t think so.

Yello is a collaboration between Dieter Meier and Boris Blank. They’re from Switzerland. Their first album, Solid Pleasure was released in 1980, and their most recent, Toy, was released in 2016. They have some dance music, and some more abstract electronica. Actually I think that mostly depends on the mix you stumble across, as there is a dance mix of most of their music.

You know their 1985 single “Oh Yeah” which was featured in the film Ferris Bueller’s Day Off, and in numerous other places since then. (Including a reference in the after-credits Easter egg in the 1st Deadpool movie.)

This song is “Mean Monday” by Yello. It was released as a single in 2011.

“Oh Yeah” video is at this link.
