Modesto police said they received calls around 5 a.m. Thursday that the owner of a motor home on Gordon Avenue was detaining a man after the home’s alarm was triggered.

As officers were headed to the home, the homeowner shot the burglar in the leg.

Cops took the wounded guy to a local hospital, where he is expected to recover. Cops also say the homeowner acted in self-defense.
