By the time officers got there, the home owner had come face to face with the men coming through his window and he shot at them. One was hit and found a block away.

Police are still searching for the other guy.

Calling 911 is a good strategy, but when seconds count, police are minutes away. That isn’t a dig against police, it is just the way things are.
