The homeowner fired two shots, one that killed the 19-year-old Dalton and the other that injured Gulli, who was 23 at the time of the incident. When Cook County Sheriff’s police responded to the scene, they found Dalton face down in a pool of blood near the front door. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The others were caught on their way back to Indiana.
Now found guilty on 3 counts of First Degree Murder, she faces 20 to 60 year in prison. The papers keep going on about how she is the mother of 2 kids. Do they go on about the parenthood status when men are on trial? Somehow I doubt it. Seems like her kids might be better off with someone other than a thief, but then I’m pretty much a “tough on crime” kind of person.
