Sorry to go full Godwin on this, but this is how you actively create ignorance. Ms Barnett seems more concerned with giving kids woke thoughts than teaching about love of literature and learning.
But it is fair to go “full Godwin” when the Left today is doing the same things the National Socialist Party did in the 1930s, and often for the same reasons. They know what thoughts you should think. They know what you should and should not read. (Ich bin ein auslander.) EBL mentions Bradbury, and I’ve said before that we live in an age that looks more like his Fahrenheit 451, than it does like Orwell’s Nineteen Eighty-four.
